This course provides in-depth training on fall protection principles, regulations, and best practices for individuals designated as a Competent Person in fall protection systems. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to identify fall hazards, implement corrective measures, and ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards.
Course Objectives:
• OSHA & ANSI Standards: Understanding fall protection regulations, including OSHA 29 CFR 1926.500 (Construction) and 1910 (General Industry), as well as ANSI Z359 standards.
• Roles & Responsibilities: What it means to be a “Competent Person” and the duties associated with ensuring a safe work environment.
• Fall Hazard Identification: Recognizing common hazards such as unprotected edges, improper ladder use, and unsafe anchor points.
• Fall Protection Systems: Exploring guardrails, safety nets, personal fall arrest systems (harnesses, lanyards, and anchors), and work positioning techniques.
• Equipment Inspection & Maintenance: How to inspect, maintain, and properly use fall protection equipment.
• Rescue Planning & Procedures: Developing effective emergency response plans for fallen workers.
• Hands-on Application: Practical exercises on equipment usage, inspections, and risk mitigation strategies.

The Fall Protection End User course provides essential training for workers who are exposed to fall hazards on the job. This course ensures participants understand fall protection principles, equipment usage, and workplace safety requirements to prevent falls and injuries. Training aligns with OSHA and ANSI standards, equipping workers with the knowledge needed to work safely at heights.
This course is designed for workers who are required to use fall protection equipment while performing job tasks at heights. It is ideal for construction workers, maintenance personnel, and general industry employees exposed to fall hazards.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Fall Protection End User Certification, verifying their understanding of proper fall protection practices and equipment use.
